Begin your journey with a breathtaking flight to Paro, Bhutan’s only international airport, offering stunning views of the Himalayas and glacial peaks. Upon arrival, drive to Thimphu, stopping en route to visit Tamchogg Lhakhang and its historic iron bridge crafted by Thangtong Gyelpo. After checking in at your hotel, visit the Motithang Takin Preserve to see Bhutan’s national animal and explore the vibrant Centenary Farmers Market. If time allows, enjoy a stroll through Thimphu—the world’s only capital without traffic lights.

Day 2 - Explore Thimphu - Capital of Bhutan

Begin your morning visiting the magnificent Buddha Dordenma, one of the world’s tallest Buddha statues, and enjoy a scenic two-hour hike along the Kuenselphodrang–Changangkha trail with stunning valley and forest views. In the afternoon, explore the Royal Textile Museum to discover Bhutan’s vibrant weaving and embroidery traditions, then visit Tashichho Dzong, meaning “Fortress of the Glorious Religion,” is a majestic landmark in Thimphu that serves as Bhutan’s government seat and summer residence of the monastic body.

Day 3 - Thimphu to Punakha

After breakfast, enjoy a scenic three-hour drive to Punakha via the stunning Dochula Pass (3,140 m), offering panoramic views of the snow-capped Himalayas. Stop to visit the Druk Wangyal Chortens—108 stupas built in honor of Bhutanese soldiers. Continue to Chimi Lhakhang, the famed fertility temple dedicated to Lama Drukpa Kuenley, before exploring the magnificent Punakha Dzong, Bhutan’s most beautiful fortress and winter residence of the monastic body. End the day with a visit to Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Nunnery, home to a grand bronze statue of Avalokiteshvara and a spiritual learning center for nuns.
